Digitalocean is a web hosting company where you can purchase servers, load balancers, s3 storage, database services, and more.
Creating an account is similar to buying a domain— you create an account and add payment information. Then you can create whatever services you want from Digitalocean, and you’ll be billed based on how much you use.
Sign up for a new Digitalocean account.
We like to sign up using email.
You will need to verify your email, but then your account will be created.
Before you continue, you will need to add payment information so they can charge you for the services you use.
You’re done! You can now see your Digitalocean dashboard and create services.
If you have a domain name with another company like Google domains, go here to set up using Digitalocean as the name server.
