Godev

In Development Godot 4 Multiplayer / Simulation

Godev is a 3D game set in an office. You and other players share a workspace and use a simplified Godot editor — built into the game — to make games together. Projects are synced between players via Nakama. Scenes, GDScript, and assets load on the fly. When you want to play what you’ve built, you can launch it directly from inside Godev, and other players can join that session while it’s running.

You can also export the project and open it in actual Godot.

The office has outdoor views, a sky shader that moves through the day, and simple environmental effects — rain, snow, fire, lights, window shaders. It’s meant to feel like a place you’d want to spend time.

Modes

Tutorial — Learn the basics of game development by working through predefined project templates. Covers sprite and image editing, sound effects, sequencer-based music, Godot nodes, and GDScript. Each template shows how a simple type of game is built, end to end.

Campaign — A more structured version of the development loop. You’re given templates to complete and publish. Published games earn money over time. You use that money to build out your office. You also have to manage hunger, thirst, and sleep — they eat into your dev time if you ignore them. The goal is to keep developing and publishing. It scales with how much you already know about game development.

Creative — A blank Godot project, a house, and no constraints. Build whatever you want.

Multiplayer

Godev includes a GDScript addon that adds multiplayer support to the games you make inside it. The same Nakama infrastructure that syncs your project files handles player sessions in your games.
